If I hear President Obama say that he "inherited" this recession one more time I think I am going to scream. Seems that he has forgotten that it was "his" party that caused this whole mess. Lets put the blame where it belongs.

This blame can be put on the Democrats when they forced lenders to lower standards and give loans to "high risk" applicants. People were allowed to purchase houses that they could not afford. Between home equity loans that caused homes to have more debt than they were worth, and adjustable rate mortgages, it was only a matter of time before lenders would have to ask for government help. Thus nationalizing the housing market at taxpayer expense.

I also put partial blame on the auto manufacturers. Not satisfied enough with only profiting off of car sales, they decided to also become banks. They gave high rate loans to high risk applicants and allowed applicants to "roll over" the amount still owed on their trade ins to the new loan. This was not "smart" business, it was greed.

Put the blame where it belongs.
