Not a lot Smarter

I have always liked this line from the Joe Walsh song Indian Summer...

Well the summers are hot
And the winters are cold
Not a lot smarter
But another year old

As 2008 comes to an end, so does another year of my life. On the 30th, I will turn 34. Definitely not a lot smarter, maybe even a little dumber. I mean, what have I really learned over the past year?

I learned that the bias liberal media actually runs the U. S.

I learned that FEMA is a joke, unless you are a minority.

I learned that if you disagree with Obama you are a racist, but if you disagree with Sara Palin you can slander her and yet you are not a sexist.

I learned that it is ok for the government to give out our tax money for bailouts to corrupt companies, even though they were ready to crucify Ken Lay a few years back.

And its not as easy as it use to be
Finding time to let my mind wonder
I can still here 'em calling (Far away)

...that is the discouragement... on this cowboys mind.
