If Tomorrow Never Comes

Garth Brooks had a huge hit with this song back when I was in high school.

If tomorrow never comes
Will she know how much I loved her
Did I try in every way to show her every day

And if my time on earth were through
And she must face the world without me
Is the love I gave her in the past
Gonna be enough to last
If tomorrow never comes

This brings up the question, "Does tomorrow ever come?" When you go to sleep tonight, you think that you will wake up tomorrow. However, that is not the case. When you arise, it will be today. The past is gone, so there is no sense in trying to live in it. And since tomorrow never comes, you must live for today.

"The procrastination awareness meeting has been postponed." Saw that on a scrolling billboard today and it made me laugh.

Truth is, none of us really know when our time on this earth will expire. Therefore I "Aint Goin Down Till The Sun Comes Up".(another Garth hit) My new relaxed outlook on life is giving me the opportunity to enjoy all that today has to offer.

Today is really all we have.
