The Taxes On The Farmer Feeds Us All

Well tax time is quickly approaching us...

The farmer is the man, the farmer is the man
He lives on his credit until fall
With the interest rates so high
Its a wonder he don't die
But the taxes on the farmer feeds us all

It seem every year that we pay more and more taxes. And now all we hear is this talk of "Hope and Change". With the new administrations views on tax hikes, I just hope there will be some change left in my pockets when it is all said and done. Have you ever stopped and looked at all that we are taxed on? The majority of these taxes didn't even exist 100 years ago, and that was when America was the most prosperous.

Ok, here is the question that I am proposing...

Why does the government think they are entitled to 15 to 40% of my income, when God only asks for 10%? How greedy and arrogant are they to think they need more than God?

Maybe that is why so many politicians with good intentions become corrupted by greed and power after taking office. They become consumed by their new overbearing sense of self worth and forget that they are supposed to be representing those that voted them into office.

Ronald Reagan once said...
"No country ever taxed itself into prosperity."

writing that dreaded check to the IRS is... on this cowboys mind.
